The Nissan GT-R earned its reputation by beating far more expensive supercars, and this 1:24 die-cast model has the same muscular, squared-off stance. Its doors and boot open, the lights and sound switch on as they do, and a pull-back motor gets it moving.

About the real car

The current GT-R, known by its R35 code, arrived in 2007 and stayed in production for well over a decade. It uses a twin-turbocharged V6 with each engine hand-assembled by a single technician, and sends power to all four wheels. Its pace against much pricier rivals, along with the long-running "Godzilla" nickname, made it a favourite with enthusiasts around the world.
