The six-wheeled G-Class pickup, lifted on knobbly off-road tyres with bead-lock rims and a Mercedes star in every wheel centre. A full-length roof rack with marker lights sits on top, a spare wheel is strapped to the roll bar behind the cab, and the open pickup bed runs back over the rear two axles.

What it does

  • Doors and bonnet open — the cabin has moulded seats and a dashboard, and there is an engine under the bonnet.
  • Pull back and go — six wheels on the floor, which is most of the fun of it.
  • Open pickup bed — with the roll bar and the spare wheel behind the cab.
  • Visible suspension — coil springs and the side exhaust are moulded along the chassis.

Looking after it

This one is heavy and the tyres are soft rubber, so it will mark a polished floor if you let it run far. The roof rack and the door mirrors are the parts most likely to catch if it is dropped. Wipe it with a dry cloth and keep grit out of the door hinges.

It is wider and taller than a normal 1:24 car, not just longer — those tyres need the room.
